Production of music video - Skills development

I approached this project very differently in comparison to how i approached last years project.

One of the differences is the planning of very early initial ideas since in AS the very first thing was quite one dimensional in comparison to A2 due to us only having to initially think about our narrative, however this year we have to also create multimedia products which synergise correctly with eachother, meaning if i was thinking of a song i had to also think about how the mood and theme of the song are going the be represented in an album cover or short teaser trailer.

Another difference is the idea of a song choice as this meant a consensus had to be created between every member of the group so we are all happy with working with it, as if one person hated the song then working with it playing for hours at a time would make them miserable and end up producing unsatisfactory work. this was not the case in AS as the only thing similar to a choice like this is the choice of story line which if disputed can be easily ignored during the film making process meaning that nobody has a reason to become aggravated.

Lastly a big change from AS to A2 is finding someone willing to be the main actor/singer in our video as it didn't take much talent or confidence in AS to be the main character of the film, as all you had to do is have a vague understanding of acting and not much else since it was not required for you to learn any lines. However in A2 the singer has to have the confidence to singe quite loudly and in front of other people which takes a great amount of self confidence, and that's not mentioning they have to learn the lyrics of the song perfectly and learn to sing it exactly in time which is not easy.
