Research for music video - Mulvey's theory

what is this theory?
Mulvey's theory (or in other words the "male gaze") means the camera in music videos and the industry in general is highly patriarchal. This means women are objectified and over sexualised to appeal to a male audience. an extreme example of this is the music video for the song "anaconda" by Nicki Minaj. The themes in this video are exclusively sexual, focusing on little more except the singers body.
