Technical skills developed in AS year.

Technical Skills that I have learnt in my AS year:

In my AS year, I learnt various skills things that were proven to be very important in order to make our videos the best.
  • Camera equipment: We had a tutorial on how to use the camera. It was important I knew how it functioned because if we didn't use it right then the videos we made weren't to be as good as they actually are. I learnt not to Zoom in because it appears very amateurish; and we wanted out videos to look professional.

  • The Camera Shots: I learnt that we should do lots of shots from different angles. This made the video flow better. Also by shooting from different angles, it allowed us to show the expressions' and character of the actor.

  • Shots: I learnt that we had to take multiple shots of the same scene. This was important because when it came to editing, by having lots of shots it allowed us to be able to choose between the worst shot and the best.

  • Editing: I learnt how to use Final Cut Pro for the first. When we were showed how to use it, Ii was honestly terrified of even going into the software. But fortunately I did get the hang of it and I was able to use this software to help my group edit our videos.
